Dezymer gives you set of design principles to aim that users interact, behave and have consistent experience through novozymes apps and tools.
Well defined principles lead to an efficient design system and a common language across organization that is timeless. Dezymer design principles are part of ‘definition of done’.
User centered
With a user focused, and iterative, test-driven approach, we aim to design based on user needs. Placing the users at the center of design means early and ongoing, active involvement of the end users to reveal the value, design and usability of the product.
Therefore, the design should be easy to learn, use and adapt. Conducting user tests, design with guidance, display instant feedback, use clear grouping, ensure the readability and use well known user interface conventions to provide consistency and to lower the learning curve.
Simple
We want simple user interface so that the users can perceive and interact quickly. To provide simplicity; reduce cognitive load by avoiding unnecessary elements and tasks and minimize the choices.
When adding content, keep in mind that everything is not equally important so reduce the noise and design for the core purpose. Every asset on the interface should serve to the core purpose.
Engaging
Our products should be able to serve to variety of users from different nationalities and industries. The tone of voice, user interface elements, and the interactions should be understandable across our target groups. We should also consider accessibility for our users with disabilities and users with different size devices.
Users should feel in control to engage. To provide that, try and foresee the possible user errors and handle them before it happens.
Appealing
It should be a joy for users to use our digital products. We should support this with appealing visuals. The appearance should support the functionality, give hints for the possible interactions and inspire positive emotional attachment.
